More than just a buzzword, when it comes to sustainable skincare and wellness, emerging Indian brands know their shit. And I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. I’m always in search of a transparent transaction of not just money but also ingredients that I’m putting on my face and body and finding brands that actually care enough to put all their cards on the table is as refreshing as the Earth Rhythm face mask we’re going to be talking about.

Earth Rhythm: What is it?

Earth Rhythm, formerly known as Soapworks India, is the brainchild of the father-daughter duo Harini and Sivakumar. I came across the brand while on a quest to find skincare products that promise the goodness of nature while also being good to nature. I mean, there have been several brands in the market that promote things like ‘organic’, ‘naturally-sourced’ and ‘eco-friendly’ on their pretty packaging while covering up toxic ingredients in its fine print.

Earth Rhythm: Should I buy it?

The Earth Rhythm Radiance Masque with Vitamin C and Kaolin Clay was a refreshing surprise that I welcomed with open arms. After months at home and trying my best to take care of my skin without the added helping hands of beauty salons, I was struggling with bringing the glow back in my skin. I was tired, stressed and just overall done with everything and my skin was showing it. This sunshine-hued mask and I truly appreciate how much brightness it brought to my day, not only revived my skin but also brought its natural glow back, all after one single application.

Summers do add an extra and very unwelcome sheen of oil to my face and kaolin clay did a great job at controlling the excess, cleansing clogged pores and soothing my skin while vitamin C promises youthful skin which I must say it succeeds in providing. Apart from that, vitamin C is also a great antioxidant and protects the skin from sun exposure and damaging free radicals. And if you think you don’t need sun protection when you’re at home, you’re totally wrong.

The verdict:

If you’re someone who’s looking to refresh your skin and naturally brighten it, this one is a budget-friendly option to try out. It also comes in a sustainable glass jar that can be reused after you’re done with the mask. Not to mention, the results are swift and the returns are astonishing. Try it out for yourself.
